Dr Spentzou's main passion is the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmia with invasive electrophysiology studies and ablation, the management of children with an inherited arrhythmia and the care of patients with a pacemaker or an implantable cardiac defibrillator.
Current role and experience
Dr Spentzou trained in paediatric cardiology at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. She then undertook extensive training in electrophysiology and cardiac devices in children at the Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) and in adults at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital (Glasgow). This was followed by a fellowship in paediatric electrophysiology at the world-renowned Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
Interests outside of work
Outside of work, Dr Spentzou enjoys spending time with her husband and young son. Dr Spentzou loves outdoor activities, and particularly enjoys swimming in the sea having grown up in Greece.
