Current role and experience
David worked in the cardiology ward at Gloucester Royal Hospital for 10 years and during this time was the 'link' nurse for ACHD. In September 2023 funding was obtained by the Trust for an ACHD nurse on a part time basis (one day a week) and David has been in that role since then. As this is a new post, David is in the process of establishing the service for the ACHD patients in the local area.
Interests outside of work
David has a keen interest in swimming and says that he will find any excuse to travel to a far off place to do an open water swimming event. David has done some marathon swims and recently organised a team of swimming colleagues to raise money for the British Heart Foundation!
