All forms of congenital and non-congenital heart disease, from neonates to the elderly. Research in myocardial ischaemia during heart transplantation, pros and cons of treatment options for congenital heart disease (based on the national audit), patient-led topics of research in heart valve disease.
Current role and experience
Mr Stoica has been a consultant cardiac surgeon in Bristol since 2009. Prior to this he obtained a doctorate by research in cardiac surgery from University College in London and trained in cardiac surgery and transplantation between the Scottish Cardiothoracic Programme and Papworth Hospital in Cambridge. Between 2006-2009 he had fellowship training in advanced cardiac surgery in 3 North American centres.
Interests outside of work
Time out with family, film, reading, hiking, cycling.
