Dr Wilson is a US citizen and has lived in the UK for over 40 years. He graduated from Cardiff University and undertook his postgraduate training in Cardiff and Bristol in the UK and at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, USA.
Current role and experience
Dr Wilson has been a consultant in Cardiff since 1999. He works as a consultant paediatric cardiologist and is currently the lead clinician for the Children's Heart Unit in Cardiff. His clinical interests and expertise include adult congenital heart disease and cardiovascular genetic conditions, including Marfan syndrome.
